Our organization employs a number of data processors around the world, in order to provide you, the customer, with the best and most economical service possible. We hold each of our data processors to the same standards as ourselves, in the matter of the protection of your personal data.
Principle 2 – Identifying Purposes
This organization collects personal information in order to fill prescriptions, verify those prescriptions with doctors, and ship medications to customers. We take steps to ensure that the Pharmacies and Fulfillment Centres we work with to fill your prescriptions comply with all regulatory obligations in the jurisdictions where they are licensed such as Canada, the United Kingdom, India, Turkey, Mauritius, Australia, and New Zealand.
This may mean verifying data of other individuals involved in the transaction of filling the prescription, such as medical professionals, guardians, or caregivers.
An explanation of the purposes behind the collection of separate data elements appears on each form submitted by the customer. We do not use customer data for marketing, nor do we share it with other organizations for unrelated purposes. Compliance with regulatory obligations may involve such uses as
providing patient or physician information to the regulatory authorities for oversight and audit
cooperating with relevant authorities in the event of a product recall
Further discussion of disclosure of patient data appears in principle 5.
