What is Meclizine Hydrochloride used for? Bonine dosage is an antihistamine that is used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. Bonine for motion sickness may also be used to reduce dizziness and loss of balance (vertigo) caused by inner ear problems. Walgreens Bonine is also used to treat symptoms of vertigo (dizziness or spinning sensation) caused by a disease that affects your inner ear. Meclizine Hydrochloride 25 mg side effects can be based on your medical condition.

How to use 

Follow all directions on the product package. If your doctor has prescribed Bonine dosage, take it as directed. If you have any questions about what is Meclizine Hydrochloride used for? ask your doctor or pharmacist.

  • Take Bonine for motion sickness by mouth with or without food.
  • If you are taking the chewable tablets, chew the tablet thoroughly before swallowing.

To prevent motion sickness, take the first dose one hour before starting an activity such as travel.

Get medical help right away if you have any very serious side effects, including seizures.

A very serious allergic reaction to Bonine for motion sickness is rare. However, get medical help right away.

Warnings & Precautions

  1. Before taking Bonine dosage, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it.
  2. Before using Walgreens Bonine, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history.
  3. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness until you can do it safely.
  4. Avoid alcoholic beverages.
  5. Before having surgery, tell your doctor or dentist about all the products you use.

Children may be more sensitive to the side effects of Bonine for motion sickness. Bonine dosage can often cause excitement in young children instead of drowsiness.

Older adults may be more sensitive to the Meclizine Hydrochloride 25 mg side effects, especially drowsiness, confusion, or trouble urinating. Drowsiness and confusion can increase the risk of falling.

During pregnancy, Bonine for motion sickness should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

It is unknown if Walgreens Bonine passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Storage

Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medications away from children and pets.
